Wildcard characters can be used to help with word games like crosswords and scrabble where only some of the letters are known, or you have to find an anagram, or with spelling. Then you can follow the links in the definition page to get more word definitions. As you type, Dictionary homes in on the word you are looking for.
The home page contains a randomly selected word cloud which will pique your curiosity and help you improve your vocabulary, while the search box allows you to find specific words easily. The dictionary definitions are stored locally, and because it's ad-free there's no need for a network connection. Dictionary is ideal for both native English speakers and English learners or people studying the English language. Some very useful 3rd part addon DLLs include a Gantt chart viewer and calendar feature that displays a calendar with tasks shown on the days they are due.Dictionary is a free offline English dictionary containing over 200,000 words and definitions and no ads. I now use it daily, even for planning and tracking work for my team and large IT projects. After trying TaskCoach for a while, Abstract Spoon ToDo List became my choice for all the extra features it provides.
Opinion: ToDo List is a very effective application for project planning tasks and keeping track of anything, whether personal or work related. ToDoList's flexible design makes it ideal for both IT related projects as well as more general GTD uses. Your tasklists are stored in XML which provides many opportunities for advanced formatting and printing using stylesheets.
ToDoList has been in continuous development for the last 6 years and is an ongoing project. ToDoList is a rare form of task management tool, one that allows you to repeatedly sub-divide your tasks into more manageable pieces whilst still presenting a clean and intuitive user experience.
